Notice

Unfortunately, the Green Mountain Relay will not be held this year, nor are their plans to hold it again. Registration simply did not come anywhere close to meeting our expectations, and the event would not have lived up to them as a result. If you are a team captain and have not received an email regarding your refund, please email theteam@greenmountainrelay.com.

About The GMR

01_GMRThe Green Mountain Relay first took place in 2006. It’s the brainchild of Colorado-based Timberline Events LLC and was part of their Road Less Traveled Relays series. As admitted snobs when it comes to running in beautiful areas, RLT Relays searched for the back roads that would highlight the scenery and handle hundreds of teams. You won’t find runners in the GMR on the shoulders of four-lane highways.

04_GMRStarting in 2016, New York City Runs Inc., a NYC based race management company that specializes in delivering big-race amenities with a small-race atmosphere; is partnering with RLT Relays to produce the 2016 Green Mountain Relay. NYCRUNS, deeply rooted in the east coast, will focus on growing the race and improving the surrounding experience. NYCRUNS founder Steve Lastoe considers the GMR to be one of his favorite events. You can read about his experiences here.

Together, Roads Less Traveled Relays and NYCRUNS are looking forward to putting on the best long-distance road- relay ever.
